Gps To Use It With The Canoe And Hiking

Featured Replies

Need some help here guys, I'm in the search for a GPS that I can use for the canoe trip and some time on hiking and camping. I was reading some reviews and some ideas around but would like to see what do you guys use... the one that i like at this point are :

- DeLorme inReach SE Satellite, not sure how good this will be for canoeing but a lot of good stuff that can be use for hiking.

- Garmin eTrex Handheld GPS, not a model yet but some good units.

Do you guys have any other choice to share ?... I'm looking something under $  300.00

I search for this topic here but didn't find any info. IF is one please put me in the right track.

Thank You guys,  :D

I really like my Garmin eTrex 20 and use it a LOT.  Coupled with a map program for your home computer or notebook, it can be a really handy and fun item for camping, hunting, hiking, canoeing, etc. as well as a valuable fishing tool.  I will never be without a hand-held GPS.

Tight lines,

Bob

visit gpsfiledepot.com. I would rec staying with Garmin, $300 is plenty, lots of units to choose from at that price point. Lots of free legal maps on that site, but only for Garmin units.
