Rod Handle Replacement???

Featured Replies

I have been told 2 totally different stories by 2 different well experienced people, so now I ask you people. I have a custom 7' M-MH Spinning rod that has a relatively short Tennessee handle on it. I recently started using this as a soft jerkbait rod for Striped Bass. Well the long rod and relatively short handle made this an extremely uncomfortable rig to use all day chunking and winding.  So is it possible to remove the Tennessee handle and replace it with a regular screw lock handle? If so great and if any of you offer that service even better.

First off as a custom builder, I would say take or send it back to the original builder and have the modification done by him/them. If you bought the rod second hand or the original builder isn't any longer available, then have it done locally it will save you a ton in shipping.

Here the info on a local builder in your state...
