big m   you are correct about kiln dry  as far as cedar is concerned its the only wood that does not have to be kiln dryed but you have to stick it and air dry for 3-4 years   if i get any wood that is not kiln dryed  ill take a small amount and you can kiln dry in your microwave  in obout total time 5 min.   kb

I never thought about drying the wood in a microwave oven.
