Repainting factory cranks

Featured Replies

I use the Devcon epoxy when sealing the paint job on my balsa cranks, but using it to seal a new paint job on factory cranks seems to make the body a little more bulky.  Is there any sort of coating that I can use on factory cranks that forms a hard coat but won't make it bulky like the Devcon epoxy?  What does everyone else use?

Devcon will also add weight to plastic cranks and kill the action or cause the bait to sink.  Dick Nite's lure coat is a 1 part moisture cure urathane that a bunch of guys are now using for the clear coat.  I've not tried that product so no details from me.  TU will have a lot of info on that product.
