What is the red spot on the tail of the bass in the first picture- never seen that before. 

Very nice!!! The red on the tail of that one is a bit weird, you typically dont see that until the spawn when males fare fanning the beds.

Hmmmm... Idk what that is on the tail, I think it may have had some discoloration and the camera picked it up as bright red cuz I don't remember that bright red ring. Although it may have just been some kind of defect in the pigment of the fish. We caught several that had black spots on them in unusual places.
