Lews Lite Speed Spool Or Diawa Tatula Type-R?

Featured Replies

In the next month, I plan on buying two new reels. I am going back and forth between the Lews Lite Speed Spool or the Tatula Type-R OR the new BB2 Pro speed spool. Whats your thoughts?

That's a rather loaded question! I've heard that the Tatula is a fantastic reel for the price, but you can't go wrong with any of them.

what do you want to do with them??? like techniques, and rods to be paired with...

Team Lite or Tournament Lite? BB2 doesn't really fit with the other two, unless you feel like you need 200 yards of line for whatever reason.

I plan on the reel to used for jig fishing. And I am planning on pairing it up with a 7'3 MH Duckett Micro Magic Pro

Team Lite Speed spool and I have a Tatula and love it. Haven't had any problems.

Depends on how light you need the reel to be. Both good reels, can't go wrong with either, but the Type R will be slightly heavier.
