In Need Of Info For Cross Creek Lake In Pa

Featured Replies

I'm going to be fishing a kayak club bass tournament on Cross Creek Lake in PA in early April. I've never been to this body of water and I will not have a opportunity to pre fish.  I found very little info online except a map outline.  Does anyone have any info they would be willing to share? Being early April I would assume the fish will be pre spawn. Any info as far as depths, structure, and areas to focus on would be greatly appreciated.  Being in a kayak takes away the option of exploring the whole lake to see what I can find.

I have never been there because they have a 10 hp boat restriction on the whole lake and my boat is well above that. But if I were you and if you had access to one, I would go around in a fish finder there when everthing melts and see if I could find any good structure before its time for you to fish there

I think there's a dam there? If there is I'd try there maybe

cross creek does have a dam.  the main ramp(i think there is only one) the 2nd. cove to the right heading towards the dam, we have caught fish there.  a fellow i knew, fished this lake all the time and did both shore lines before the bend towards the dam.its been a while since i've been on the lake so it might have changed.

Check out PAFBC, they've placed some structure in the lake, but if you look at Google Earth, there's 4 boats on the lake, 2 of them are down by the dam(time of year is a guess though).

Hate to bring up an old thread, but I was at Cross Creek last weekend and from the looks of it, the kayak tournament was going on. How did you do? What was the winning weight?

I ended up not being able to make it.  From what I heard it wasn't very good at all. I'm going to try to head up there sometime this weekend. Any tips or pointers you would be willing to share?
