Daiwa Ballistic Spinning Reel

Featured Replies

Another great deal at Cabelas $199 down to $99.  Daiwa reels are drastically reduced right now for some reason.  Was going to pay $30 for the Lagalis (1/2 off from $60) and then see this reel also at 1/2 off.  High end reel (at least for me) for $100 off seems like a heck of a deal. Looking for a 2500 for shakyhead fishing.  Wondering if anyone has any experience with it?

I got a 2000 at the end of last year but haven't had a chance to try it yet.

It feels light, smooth, and solid in hand.

Ex or sh

SH is a good reel.

I just got a sh too. So smooth.

I think they may be discontinued and are moving to ex. Can't find the sh except auction and discount sights. Probably why they are cheap.

Cabelas has the Sh and as I said  $99.

I don't have the Ballistic but I have Cabela's version of it, the Verano 2500.  It was not my most used spinning reel last year but I did use it quite a bit and am really happy with it.  I am in need of a smaller spinning reel and at this price should probably consider the Ballistic 2000.  That sure seems a good buy!
