Featured Replies

Hi guys,I need help fishing again lake mead.weather is low 70's water is 60 degress.I fished crawdad and boxcar cove.got their at sun up.fish were jumping.tried top water lures, crank baits, tubes, crawfish soft baits, senko finess worms, jig the bottem.i tried everything in my box. I caught 3 bass 2-4 pounders last summer. Winter is tough. I don't have a boat lots of hiking, any help will be greatly appreciated

Are you sure they were largemouth or smallmouth?  I ask because most of the surface activity on Mead is from stripers.

I don't have near the experience on Mead that many others do, but the times I have caught boiling stripers, most were on lipless crankbaits ripped through the boils.  I have caught a few on top waters, usually a spook, but the lipless cranks were much more productive.

Mead can be a bear to fish from shore, not real easy to get around.
