Dave Mercer

Featured Replies

I think I will kick him in the nuts when I see him at the classic-

As for the weight -Dave knows he had to cut down for health reasons -like we all do- He is the new Jared for Subway-  He eats healthier and he is doing a lot more exercise -does a lot of running now- he has kids and they are the love of his life so he wants to stick around a while.

He has found his niche in the industry.. My little boy dosent take any crap from him

So your kid likes the Browns huh?

I like Dave Mercer a lot. He's fun to watch and a great personality. However, I still cannot stand his stupid laugh.

you and me both. I just absolutely hate that laugh. really enjoy his show though.

+1 for Canadian anglers. I think out of all thr bass fishing shows I watch on WFN he's the most informative.

I also like Karl Kalonka - Extreme Angler TV.

I've seen Dave Mercer speak two times now, usually try to make it when I can.  This year I'll probably miss it though. He's great, informative and he's fun!

Mercer has one of the most informative shows on WFN.

Dave, calling Dave, Would you please just laugh for us one more time. Thank you.

Defiantly agree

Big X2 on this. He's awesome,

I'm not a big fan of Mercer.  I will record his show from time to time but 99% of the time after watching three seconds I hit delete on the DVR.  I think in his second show of the season all he used was a frog made by one of his sponsors.  It was nothing but a thirty minute commercial.  Yeah, I know Bill Dance does the same thing.  But Dance does it with class and doesn't act like a clown on his TV program.

I'm not saying Mercer would not be fun to fish with.  If I had the opportunity I would fish with him.  But his show is lame.  Zona is almost as bad.  But I still record both Mercer and Zona but I delete them almost without watching them 99% of the time.  Joe Thomas is as bad as Mercer and Zona.   Thomas's program where he puts two fishermen in one boat to compete is fun to watch.  But his Steel's Reel in the Outdoors is not good. With Mercer, Zona and Thomas, it seems it's all about them.

Dave's show is probably my favorite of all TV fishing shows. He seams like he's always having a blast wether he's using a boat full of rods & thousands in electronics or fishing the bank with whatever he can carry. The show manages to be fun yet still informative IMO. I also like watching Bass Pros & Lunkerville sometimes.

Some of these shows just seam to tell you the same thing over and over or it looks as if the host dosn't even want to be there lol. Others I try to watch like Bill Dance but I have a hard time getting into it knowing he's likely on his own private lake again fishing the cover he put there.

Good show in my mind, entertaining and educational. Don't really care if he's a brick short of a load.

All fishing shows are just ads. The hosts have to use their sponsors products and show them off. Otherwise the shows wouldn't be on TV.

I like Mercer. More than Kolanka and Zona. I find his show less boring. Probably because the types of places he usually fishes are like the places I fish. That's just me.

Dave is my fav. show to watch. Have 4 fishing shows I watch every Sat. Btw, some of you say he has an accent? He sounds ok to me! Helps I guess since I speak Canadian. lol

Me as well I like how he breaks it down and talks about what he is doing in terms the viewer can understand
