Beautiful Day...

Featured Replies

Made plans to take one of my 2 younger kids fishing today, they both ended up having ball practice, so I took my father in law.

Was a nice day, clear, slight wind. Started off in the "deep" part of the lake, about 18-22' deep. My little lowrance3x showed some fish, I swear this thing is never right...We trolled around for an hour or so, nothing, just hung up on some sticks. I decided to try out my new aqua vu camera. Dropped ot down, and what do you know, some sticks and a bass about 3 feet from the camera. Told pop to drop his line here, and bam, he got that little dink.

We stayed in the deep for another couple of hours, nothing. I heard some good reports from last Sunday and Monday, they were literally filling the boats...

I guess they caught them all. We did not get another bite...Oh well, have not been fishing with my father in law in years since he got rid of his boat about 10 years ago. Might head back out there next week and give it another shot.

cherish any moments you get to fish with friends and family, fish or not.  real nice story.  always wondered if those cameras worked.  that's pretty cool catchin' a bass you see on camera.

Can't enjoy nice weather and catch fish at the same time! Always ends up being one or the other for me.

Yes, the camera worked better than I hoped. It's not hd or 4k, but in 20' of low vis water, I could see about 5-6' around. The IR lights on this thing work great.

I did have to attach biggest dropshot weight I had (3/8) to get it down, due to wind picking up and blowing my little jon boat around.
