Hey guys I just got a raymarine dragonfly 5 and I'm wanting to mount it up front. But there is one small problem a tm mount is $130, and I'm not about to pay that much. Looking for ideas on a homemade mount. I'm sure it won't be hard to come up with somethubg but I'm not crafty. Was thinking something with pvc?

I thought of a way I'm going to mount it, but I have one more question. I'm gonna make a cover for it becasue it's pretty large, and I was wandering if it's ok if I cover the whole transducer? Of course leaving the bottom completely uncovered though.

I am guessing you are referring to a mounting solution for the transducer?

 

I am not familiar with the Dragonfly.......could you not modify a trolling motor mount for a Lowrance or Humminbird to work with the Dragonfly?
