my second time trying this and the edges are a little rough but i don't think the fish will notice.

    If that is a "foiled bait", you'll find it 100% easier on flat sided lures. The wrinkles can be a nightmare :'( on round cranks.

     Practice painting on pieces of PVC pipe. It's cheap... that's what I use to experiment on for different color schemes instead of washing paint off a lure.
