My First Split Grip Conversion

Here is a pic of my first split grip conversion.  I used a 7' MH Bass Pro Extreme rod and it turned out alot better than I thought. THis was much easier than I thought going in but it was time consuming if you do it right. I also trimmed down the reel set threads to be only hat is used.

    Any plans to do some final shaping?

    I am going to try and shape the cork a little better, I was excited to get that far without destroying an otherwise decent rod. :D looking back the conversion was way easier than I thought it would be
