Hey everyone my family is going to dale hollow this summer. we are staying next to eastport marina. i was looking for some tips on fishing around there. 

we will be going in August I know fishing wont be the best but looking to fins some good fishing.

Hire a guide!  Summer time is night fishing, and August is usually pretty tough.  Eastport is up the river quite a ways.  I would not recommend trying to run around at night up there if you have never been there before.  When the lights go out at Dale Hollow, you can hardly see your hand in front of your face.  If you want to experience Dale Hollow, and catch some big smallies, go between March and May or Thanksgiving and New Years.  It's a beautiful lake, but she will humble you real fast.
