MS Slammer

Featured Replies

I'm abuot to purchase a couple of these but have a couple of questions:

How do you use them for top-water?

In your opinion, are they worth the cost?

1. From very slow to as fast as you can crank it.

2. I have had 6 or 7 of em and yes they are!

I would recommend NOT getting the 7" baits, instead get 9". That sounds odd but the 9" will catch small fish just like the 7" and the 7 won't catch the top end fish as often as the 9. Its pretty hard to wrap your mind around two pound fish eating a 9" bait but once you start throwing the bait you'll see it for yourself.

When you crank it as fast as you can does it stay on top?  If not, how deep does it dive?

probably 2-3 ft max. rod postition plays a big part with the slammer. get the 9 like matt said.
