Airbrush Help...

Featured Replies

Well everything has been going good with my airbrush then all of the sudden it stopped shooting paint. Air still comes out with alot of pressure but no paint? I clean it all the time and everything. Then i was messing around with it and tightened the needle and it worked but it would only spray really hard and when i made it into single action. Went back about 15 mins later to shoot a different color and it wouldnt work? WTH!!!! sorry about the length. And could someone Reccomend a Solid airbrush for around 100$ thats not passachae

You've just got a clog somewhere. Describe your cleaning process.

Sounds like a clog, will it spray water?

My first brush was a passache VL and had nothing but trouble, got a gravity feed Iwata Eclipse and I must say this brush is the cat's meow.

I only tear it down about 2 times a month and never have any problems.   It has a .35mm tip/needle and I can spray just about anything, even micro-flake (big pain with that one).

Go to dixie art and you will get free shipping.   You will have to order a new hose and get an in-line filter also.

Thanks for the help everyone..Hey Big M funny you said that i just bought and Iwata Master CR not the top of the line but it feels amazing spraying with this soo far i think gravity fed makes a big difference.

Quick ? though i sometimes get a a few really wet looking spots on my baits whats that from? and how would i fix it or cover it up? THANKS!

Sounds like too much paint in 1 coat.   The trick with an airbrush is learning to do multiple thin coats of paint.   Get a hairdryer and use the low air/high heat setting.   Dry your bait for a few seconds after a couple of thin coats of paint.    The thin coats are the trick to shading and layering of your colors.   Also use pearl white as your base coat on every bait, makes all your colors look brighter.
