Tips For Fishing On Messalonskee Lake Maine

Featured Replies

I am taking a week long trip to Messalonskee Lake Maine in early June and I'm looking for any tips I can for getting me and my family a good quantity and variety of fish. I'm coming from Georgia and haven't done a lot of fishing up North so anything would help.

I'm pretty sure atleast one of the new episodes of major league fishing they are fishing on that lake. I would check those out you could a lot of information from it.

Jerkbait in natural color

Chratruese spinnerbait

black and blue jig

drop shot in green or pumkin

I miss fishing that lake in may/june

I fish the Sebago Lake region regularly and plenty of friends that fish Moosehead. Black/Blue and Green Pumpkin jig combos and Senkos work well. A crank bait I've always had luck with is the Rebel Jointed minnow black/silver in 3.5" and 4.5." I've caught Largemouth,Smallest, and Chain Pickerel on them.
