Wake Baits

Featured Replies

Just found Arashi Wake Cranks at Academy in Mobile for $5.99! Has anybody fished these cranks? I've not fished wake cranks before. Very excited to try them out!

They get really good reviews and they look as good or better than most as I like the round profile, spro style circuit lip, I never see them on sale but I am sure they will work great, find the right speed, and wakes can be a blast..Good find, good luck.

This is why Expensive Japanese Lures were and are good for the industry. When did storm ever have colors like that, packaging, and I noticed Rebel, Bill Lewis, and all lures seem to be much better than they were a few years ago...$5 gets you in the game with top quality lures with good colors and hooks and good selections. 2.99 bags of Yum...good stuff coming this year, Bagleys is back with new stuff older molds again I hear.

I have that one just haven't had a chance to use it but I love my discontinued Mann's Waker Elite baits.  While I can't give you specifics about that bait, I can give you some general stuff I found out about when it comes to wake baits.  The crankbait type wake baits do really well when fish won't full commit to a topwater and  they work at lower water temps than most other topwaters.  I'm going to add the Yo-Zuri 3DS wake bait to the arsenal to go along with my Mann's Waker and the Storm Arashi, that will give me 3 different body sizes to see if I can find which size the fish prefer at what times but definitely a bait to have in your box.

I've fished them before. They have a good wake but I haven't fished them enough to catch anything.
