Lews Tournament Lfs Vs Tournament Pro

Featured Replies

do any of you guys own both? is there a noticeable difference between the two? i have two tournaments and several lfs speed spools. both are great reels. i do prefer the dual braking on the tournaments and was thinking about adding some tp's if they are worth the extra money.

I know the TP is a steal of a reel for 160 (IF ya look around) matter of fact it good at msrp of 199

I like mine a lot. Super smooth, casts a mile, light and powerful!

Tournament Pro, Tournament, and Speed Spool LFs are three different models.

I own the Tournament and the Tournament Pro. For the money, I like the Tournament better. I don't discern that much difference. If a TP is $160 and I've seen Cabelas carry Tournaments at $100, you can buy 3 Tournaments for every two Pro models.

As far as the standard LFS Speed Spool, I think for the few extra dollars to get a Tournament at $99-120, you'd be a fool to get it.

If you want to go Lew's (all of my reels are Lew's) and you ate budgeted, get Tournaments and BB1's. I like my TP and BB1 Pro but my BB1 and Tournaments work just as well. (Note, the BB1 Pro is dual braking, the BB1 is centrifugal only)

Lews Tournament is a lot of bang for your buck no doubt!!
