When fishing baits with skirts like spinners, chatter baits, jigs ect do you use the same colors for water clarity as you do with soft plastics?

with chatterbaits if its around the pre spawn or spawn ill use a bluegill color if the waters clear and black/blue if its merky, for spinnerbaits i like a white, shad, and craw colors for either clear or merky water year round, and for jigs if the waters clear ill use a green pumpkin, summer craw and if not ill use a black/blue or junebug

does this help?

It does help thanks!

Yes.  I use darker colors in darker water and more natural colors in clearer water.  This doesn't mean that the opposite will not work, it's my rule of thumb.  Hope this helps!
