Refinished swimbait

Featured Replies

Here is my sunfish swimbait refinished after some problems with the last finish. This one also looks better than the first time because i wasn't so rushed. Sorry for the bad pictures.

next time try smoothing out the edges of the foil/paper more ;)

Ya i just found the right type of foil tape after i had it epoxied the stuff i used was thicker and not sticky enough but it looks great through the paper you can't see it in the pics but it looks alot like shinny scales. it could have worked better but the tape pulled up the paint so it wasn't sticky on the edes thats why they were so bad. but i don't think the fish are going to care if the edges don't look great and if they don't  neither do i ;)

i use Tyco Adhesives Nashua Tape.

im not sure where i got it, some local hardware store, but it is ULTRA sticky and has always preformed well for me.

I like it. I think a properly weighted 3 piece bluegill is WAY better than a two piece bait.

Ebby,  certainly a much better bait than the last, plus you are beginning to become your own critic and thats where you will start to see some real progress. Looking forward to seeing your next project.

Patience and pratice.
