It is definately a Heavy Fast rod.  Should have enough tip to hurl a Snag Proof though.  I changed the picture a bit so you can see the green of the blank.

I am loving the green of the blank. I want to learn how to build rods so bad, but seems like a lot of money to get all the tools.

Its really not.  The first rods I built were probably done with $20 worth of tools.  Even now I don't have much in the way of equipment, but what I do have I built.  The drill press I use to turn the grips is the most expensive, and it was only $60 or so.

Really? Can you fill me in on what I need? This seems some awesome to build your own rods. Being able to customize it the way you want is important to me. I like making things my own.

You can build rods using a shot glass, a book, and a shoebox.  Look at the sticky at the top of this page and check out Rodbuilding.org.  Great site.
