Has anyone fished this lake lately? Taking my Dad down next week, been years since either of us has fished there.

I haven't fished there in a few months. Last time I fished there i didn't even bass fish. Catching a few catfish. Called a good friend on mine and got a little info from him. He has been catching a lot of bass in the shallows around the cypress trees. Flipping black and blue jigs at the base of the trees. Fishing out of rocks pond campground. Maybe this info will help you and your dad catch some nice fish.

I havent been on here in awhile. Hows your back or neck? Getting any better?

Had surgery on neck again and dodged a bullet for more lumbar surgery, have good days and bad ones. I'm good. BTW scored a new to me boat, we should hit Marion sometime. It would be good to go out with someone with experience on the lake. Shoot me a pm and we'll try to set it up.

I might fish the lake 3 times a year.  I usually stay a weekend up there but im getting married soon so not much fishing going on.  Stump hole this time of year has done me good with a white colored worm and wacky rigged worm around the Cypress trees.  Junebug is another good color I've had luck on.  Good luck and glad to here your well enough to go rip some lips.  Be very careful don't want to ruin a trip knocking off your foot
