Sunline Reaction Fc Review

I'm a sunline fan and have been enjoying crankbaits the last couple years, so when I saw this line I had to try it. I purchased it in 12 pound test.

It casts smooth and quiet and handles reasonably well and the smoke gray is a nice color if you are into that. That's where my compliments end.

I read reviews before buying and chalked up negative reviews as user error and focused on the positives. Truth is, this line at this price point is essentially monofilament.

Similar if not larger diameter line than similar priced monos, poor abrasion resistance against wood and rock (if you have to pick a backlash out, pray you didn't damage your line!), typical FC knot issues (sd jam mitigates), and it actually has little stretch.

I tied 10 inches to a 2.5 pound weight and measured it at 11.10. When testing my pline cx premium in 20 pound test (a line known for low stretch) I went from 10 to 11 inches.

Maybe this line would be okay in heavier tests with swimjigs or chatterbaits, but as a cranking line shallow or deep, I don't think it's the best option. I will use the rest of the spool this year, but it's not a game changer.

Thanks for the review. I was thinking about trying it out. I will stick with fc sniper.

everything I have read about this line is that it breaks off and has all the issues you stated. I love shooter and sniper but when it comes to moving bait applications I stick with invizx
