Advice on a dedicated Frog pole.  I'll be using mainly sporo popping frog (around mostly timber) and less frequently the  pads crasher frogs (non popping version) around some pads and grass.

 

Would it be better to go with a 7ft MH  Fast tip.  Or a 7ft Heavy X-Fast tip ??

 

 

Side question? Do you get further casting distance with a H over a MH?

I'd get the Fast, and heavy will probably give you a bit less distance but I'd rather have a heavy fishing around grass.

I throw frogs on 2 rods. When I am bank fishing, and I am fishing around light to moderate cover I use a 7ft MH Avid. When I am out in the Glades I throw H  rod due to the thick cover I come across. 

 

Choose a  rod  based on the amount of cover you are going to primarily be fishing. As far as casting distance? I actually get more distance when I am using my H rig because the length of my rod is longer. 7'3" vs a 7ft. 

My frog rod is a 7' Hammer MH Fast. Can sling it a mile and pull them out the nasty stuff. Lews 6/4; Hammer 7' MH F; Power Pro 65lb braid

I use a Powell Max 735 for all my frog and toad fishing. It's a mag heavy extra fast rod that flat gets the job done, period. These rods have been "redesigned" in the last year so now they're called Max 3D but I'm sure they're just as good if not better. In fact I'm planning to pick up a new Max 3D 736 frog rod tomorrow.

Same here, love the Powell Max 735 for frogs, so much so that I bought two more of them as soon as I heard the Max was being discontinued. Please post up a review of the Max 3D 736 once you fish it a bit.
