Has anyone upgraded to one of those seats that raises you up for the soggy part of the kayak seat. I have a Perception Sport kayak that has a molded area that fits your butt and Comfort Seating System pad and back. It is better than sitting on plastic all day, but it would be nice to get out of the water when it's cold.

 

Is there a kit for this? Any other ideas? I already have Scupper plugs.

I use one of those flotation seat cushions that are about 4" thick. It is softer that the stock seat and it gets you bum off the deck which helps make things a bit more comfortable. I'm working on modifying a seat bottom now, when I get the idea complete I'll post up some pics.

Great, thanks. I don't mind getting soaked when it's 80+ degrees. It's a drag early spring or late winter. I avoid kayak fishing in the winter because of this.
