Where can I catch one from shore? Gonna be down there the first of June and will be taking a charter out of islamorada but I would love to catch a peacock. Can I catch one from shore anywhere?

coral gables has some creeks and freshwater ponds that should have them. try small jerk baits and spinners at fast retrieve. if you are in Islamorada, I would focus on the tarpon run right now and maybe some cuda from shore.

Like was mentioned above, they are in all the canals.  I would either work a jerkbait or torpedo.  The faster the better.
