Rod Recommendation: 7'1-7'3 Rod To Replace Swimbait Rod...

Recommended Posts

To explain a little further, I would like a rod that I can still throw a 6" Hudd, Osprey, or Rago...SPRO Rat (which is actually light), any small to medium lighter hard bait or wake bait...

I want a rod in 7'1 to 7'3 ...Fast action? Or Extra Fast?  Heavy I am thinking?

I was looking at the 7'2 MH *** Green and thought that could do the job..

7'3 H *** Black...Kistler Carbon Steel 7'3 H.... ??

Any other rods you guys suggest? Sub$100  up to $130 range, nothing terribly expensive.

MH *** Green would probably work. I have the M and it's beefy as is. I also have the Okuma Scott Martin TCS 7'3" Heavy and it handles a 7" Slammer well. The Daiwa Tatula frog rod should also be included in your search if you can swing the 7'4" length.
