Ive been lurking in the tackle-making section and am really surprised at some of the baits on here they look fantastic! It looks like a fun hobby to pick up and am wondering what are some basic materials for building swim baits.

to get started all you really need is a hand saw for cutting out your shape, a dremel for doing the shaping and a drill for adding weight.

what kind of wood would you suggest using?

i dont even know what i use, to start you could use some scrap wood (this is what i use) or you can get some basswood not sure what everyone is using
