Swimbait Rod Help???

Featured Replies

Im searching to get my first swimbait rod...been looking at the Irod Jr swimbait or large swimabit and some okumas. Looking for something under $150. Will be throwing 68 deluxe hudds, deps 175, and bull shads.

I think the Okumas are good bang for buck if you are cost conscious

I use the Phenix M1 Swimbait and its just alil over $150 but its a good light strong rod easily heaves 68s, Hardgills, 8" Punkers, 8" Swavers, 8" Trouts

Daiwa also makes a DX rod around 110

If you can pinch pennies and save up for a low down custom rod. I have two brands and that one by far is the best. They run for 250 shipped but can be found $150 used.

Get the XH!

I have looked into the Low Down Customs and they look great..although they tend to sell fast. Still would like some more info. Thanks

It would be tuff to find a used production for $150. Also if you plan on actually throwing swimbaits sometime this year then go a other route.

I have a few Phenix M1 swim bait rods. They are great.
