First time airbrusher

I have decided to try my hand at painting up a few of my lures. Anyone care to throw out any cliff notes on the errors I am about to make?

Thanks

Airbrushing is one of those things that no matter how much you read about it or listen to the advice of others, you just have to do it. Practice and experimentition with different paints and pressures and you will soon develope your own style. There are several very good painters on this site and I'll bet that no two of us paint in exactlly the same manner, each has their own style, what works for me might be totally wrong for someone else.

Get some old cranks and start with them. The first crank you paint complete it and seal it. the others use them to practice on and you can wash them off. Light on the paint (trigger) and learn to blend. The rest will come. after about 20 cranks then put your first next to it and you will be suprised. Big M was a huge help to me when starting. The best advice I have is to put it down and walk away while you can. ;D

I have been using an AB for many years, Keep your AB clean and learn to thin your paint ;D

There are some amazing painters on this site.  I wish I could paint too, but I am not very artistic. :-/
