Memorial Day 2015 On Lake St. Clair - Michigan

Featured Replies

Finally got on the water around 1030 am till 5pm this Memorial Day with my son. Fished 12-13 FOW and up shallow at 2-4 FOW.
I was going to just put a ZERO as the report, however I did see one dead pumpkinseed.
Started out overcast and 68 degrees with the water temp 56-58 in 12 FOW. Shallow was 58-60 Degrees. 5-10MPH winds.
Strong winds kicked up- lots of chop. 2-3 foot waves.  Couldnt keep position well.

Sun came out and warmed up with the strong winds after lunch time. Not many boats as compared to normal or holiday.

I could see 9 boats when I was out 1-2 miles from Harley Ensign launch. 2 sailboats.
Threw everything at them. Too much wind. Sonar was almost null and void.
Everyone I talked to was basically netting nuthin!

But, nice day to finally be on the water with my son fishing.

Me and my son? Total catch?

ZERO.
