Helix 5 Di-Gps

Featured Replies

I apologize if this question has been asked before ahead of time. If I am not on the water can I still look at the lake map with contours that's been purchased? I am curious because I would like to set up waypoints prior to being on the water? I'm new to the higher technology that this unit has. Always used just a basic graph before so I'm not having the best luck figuring this out.

Yes, just start up the unit in Normal or Simulator, select the Chart view, then push the 4-way button, and move the map curser to the location you want to check. Push Exit when you are finished.

Great thanks. Another question if I buy a single lake map from chart select does it just update the lake on chart view or is there another screen for that?

The unit reads the map card you have in the unit automatically and displays it in the Chart view. You would only have that single location to view.

If you remove that card, you will get the built-in Uni-map.
