Okeechobee Guide Recommendations?

Featured Replies

Hi. I was wondering if anyone had any reommendations for a good okeechobee guide?

Thanks! -Garrett

I went through Roland Martin's Marina in Clewiston back in March. We went for 6 hours and caught a bunch of Florida hogs. I had expectations of going out and punching mats all around the lake. The reality was we stayed in one money spot and used live shiners. I'm so glad we did, that's why you hire a pro. All of us caught fish and had an absolute blast. I would go through Roland Martin's Marina again in a heartbeat. My avatar is one of the medium sized bass caught on that trip. Hope this helps. If you need more information on the specific guide we used, I'd be happy to help. My understanding is all their guides are unbelievable anglers who know the Big O like the back of their hand.

Go with Mark Shepard on Bassonline. He is fantastic. He is often able to put us on fish even when other guides are not catching any fish.

But don't tell him that I sent you. I think that he's only had 2 days off this year so far. He is a busy boy, because he is awesome at what he does!!!

JP McKay.... Shane Procell.... both are good guides.
