I want to get into Painting...

Featured Replies

Hey guys i have nothing and no knowledge of painting lures. I want to know what i need to buy and how to do things... ANY help is greatly appreciated. thanks

Get a quality airbrush (Iwata) a compressor, good airbrush paint(taxidermy) and get ready to practice and then practice some more.

I know some guys picked it up real quick but I was not one of thsoe guys.   I bought 5 traps and 5 cranks from Jann's and have painted those baits several hundred times.   That's the best advice I can give.

Practice,  Practice,  Replace needle,  Practice,   fight w/wife about being out in the garage all night,   practice........ lol...

Be prepared to give up all your free time and most fishing time. But to the bright side your fishing tackle will look great with no time to fish it. ;D

I am looking at painting too to pass the time now that I am unemployed. What model of Iwata brush do you guys suggest and what paint brand? I already have a compressor. I am dying to paint some of these old cranks lying around.
