Kvd Buzzbait

Featured Replies

Love buzzbait's have fished them for years. We hardly ever loss a fish on the old strike King Buzzbait's. We started using the new Strike King KVD Tournament Buzzbait and losing a lot of fish. I put the two beside each other and seen the hooks on the old ones turn up and the new KVD are parallel with the body of the bait. Right or wrong I bent the hooks so the point is tuned up on them too. Going in the morning to see if it helps. Anyone have an thoughts or ideas as to why we are loosing so many fish on the new KVD Tournament Buzzbait?

I've had some good luck with the kvd baits you just need to train yourself to wait that microsecond before setting the hook.

I've done well on the Strike King buzzbaits but the KVD I have no experience with yet. Let us know how your experiment works out. If you still aren't happy you might try the Cavitron buzzbaits. I use those pretty much exclusively these days and I do quite well with them. I don't lose many fish on them.

Went out today 11 fish on the KVD buzzbait 9 of them in the boat. Turning the hooks up seamed to be the key.

Good to know! I hope you sent in some feedback to Strike King. I'm sure they would welcome it.
