Does anybody here use a Paasche airbrush? They cost less than Badger and Iwata, but if the quality is no good, I don't want to waste money on an airbrush that's not going to last very long. :-/

Also, is the TC-20 compressor sold by tcpglobal.com any good?

The Paasche VL was my first airbrush and they are decent airbrushes plus parts and extra needles and nozzles are inexpensive. Good brush until I got my first gravity feed, ( Iwata HP-C ) jumps your painting to an all new level. A gravity feed brush is much easier to use, requires a lot less paint plus easier cleanup. As far as wearing out an airbrush I have no idea how many baits it would take, I'm into the thousands and my first Iwata is still going.

Be patient and shop around, bought another Iwata HP-CS a year ago at Hobby Lobby for under $60, there are some good deals out there, you just have to look.

I don't paint baits, but I've used a Paasche VL for several years now.  I agree with idlov2fish that the gravity feed airbrushes are much much easier to use.  I think I picked up my Passche kit for like 100 bucks at a local store here.  Comes with the brush, like two or three needles, a few cups for paint, etc etc.  Not a bad airbrush at all for the cost.  Like anything though, the better you maintain it, the longer it will last.

Thanks guys! I'll probably end up holding off on the airbrush for the time being until I can afford to buy an Iwata or a Badger.
