Loz High Water

Featured Replies

Fairly new to bass fishing, generally have decent catches at Lake of the Ozarks as well. Last weekend caught a 5 pounder and about six in the 2-3 pound range on a shaky head with a green pumpkin trick worm off main channel points.

The lake has gotten a ton of rain over the last couple of days and is really up. What does that typically do to the fish? Will they stay in their summer type patterns of docks and primary points or do they typically move back?

Assuming I can get to the dock tomorrow morning I will have a few hours to fish and not a ton of time to search.

Thanks!

Temps have been pretty consistent so I would stick with normal patterns. Normal as in just got a rain storm in summer. Remember bass are predators and opportunistic ones at that. Creek mouths or other areas that have water/current running into the main lake will be like golden corral to them.
