I'm buying a Laguna but I have a few questions. Is the green reel the latest model? There's a silver one with the same model number, lgn100h. The diawa web page only mentions the green model. When did the silver model come out?

The dark one is the latest model if the TW info is correct. The silver one came out in 2011, and the dark one came out in 2014

Id be interested to hear something on these reels, i have two laguna rods and for their price i really like them..

This reel will be my flipping reel. So I want a reel that was small and compact but cheap. I only flip when needed and j don't want an expensive reel sitting. I own diawas so I know the product. I'm getting the silver one cuz it looks cool.

I have both a laguna and the new daiwa arid. buy the ARID , it casts a million miles farther than the laguna and is only 20 bucks more.  i love my laguna, ive used the thing in saltwater and it holds up great and casts a mile.  but overall get the arid.
