Good Day On The River

Featured Replies

Just got back from the Current River in Southern Missouri yesterday with eight nice rainbow trout. Caught them with Yellow belly Cracklebacks I tied night before. By noon they were smoke cooking in my grill with Hickory chips and a few splashes of Margaritta to keep the fire cool. After a few I decided it doesn't get much better than this and made Isaak Walton and Jimmy Buffet my new mentors.

Awesome.

I read Izaak Walton's "Compleat Angler" once every few years...sometimes dull, sometimes cool but always a good read :)

Oh and don't forget Charles Cotton....the fly angler to Izaak's live-bait style.

"God never did make a more calm, quiet, innocent recreation than angling" - Izaak Walton.

"I am, Sir, a brother of the angle" - Izaak Walton (1653)

:)  Good stuff I could quote the good Piscator all day long.
