Featured Replies

Anybody know of any movies about bass fishing? Or what kind of movie about bass fishing you would like to see?

Have you never heard of Hot Rod Johnson?

KVD wouldn't have a prayer against the man..lol ..Bait Shop is the most amazing movie ever if you count absurdly silly as amazing...ha! It's funny at the very least .joking about amazing. . I'd like to see a pro documentary. .life of a pro...an intimate look into all aspects of being a full time angler...that would be cool.

Just looked it up. I saw it once a long time ago. I'll have to watch it again.

Beat me to it lol. I have it on dvr right now actually.

Not really a movie, but look up Geobass.

Look up Bigmouth and Bigmouth Forever. These contain some amazing underwater footage that captured bass in their natural habitat. Here's a clip from the latter:

I absolutely must watch those.

Thanks for the clip, very cool footage.

Grumpy Old Men is not a bass fishing movie, but a hilarious comedy centered around ice fishing.

It's not a movie but it should be. Try reading Carl Hiaasen's "Double Whammy".

There's one about BASS that followed Rick Clunn and Takahiro Omori among others as they went on the tourney trail. It showed Omori going fishing with Clunn to learn from him. Omori didn't even fish, just observed Clunn while he fished. In fact, he didn't speak any English at the time.

I saw it on Sundance or IFC years ago. It was pretty good. But I can't remember the name now.

I can't even fathom how many times I've seen the grumpy old men movies. My favorite part is when he puts the fish in Walter matthaus car.

Southern trout eaters is supposed to be pretty good. It's mostly about how to fish swimbaits but it also documents lure makers, big fish and just a lot of cool stuff.

Yes, they're amazing! Especially the 9 pound bass sucking in and out crankbaits without Homer feeling anything........
