I have all equipment needed just wondering how hard it is to do. May try and install the 859 myself just little worried about the transducer on trolling motor

It is not difficult.

 

Several things that should be done so it works correctly:

 

Connect the bow unit power cord directly to the battery-NOT the boat wiring harness.

 

Use the proper transducer on the trolling motor for whichever 859 you have.

 

Proper routing of the transducer cable on the motor--what motor do you have?

 

Did you get the AS EC QDE adaptor for the 859 so you have the Ethernet cable connection?

Yea I did get the adapter the 1198 was installed at my local boat dealer the 859 di I have whatever transducer comes with them I bought it used in like new condition I can have it installed but coat 150 and having to wait a week I've had the unit a week and killing me just having to let it sit
