Have a canoe with a TM, and also do some ice fishing. Anything reasonably priced that would work for both? I am new to FF. I have been looking at the Lowrance Elite 3x.

    I have a Lowrance X-4 Pro for my kayak. Works well for me and I think it was around $100

    For the money the lowrance screen is going to be clear but you can also get a wifi one that works on you smartphone if you go with a vexilar you can get the Navionics boating app and actually sync the wifi ducer with the app and get a fish finder sonar for around the same amount of money
