Lol I have 4 colors in 2 size dirty jigs and the all get BLASTED. I have ordered duplicates in case a toothy critter has a go at it. I cannot do without those 4 swim jigs.

Correct, i was not hacking up one of my dirty jigs to test this out lol.

Good thinking! I am a huge fan of swim jigs also. In tournaments where frogs are a big player I will throw the swim jig behind people throwing frogs and get bit all the time.

Yessir, I am the youngest in my club. These fellas are set in ways that have done well for them in the past. I come behind them and MOP. They have started throwing it in front of me but they dont fish it like I do. I put it down and wait til they put it down. Pick it back up after they get into the groove and fill the box!

Ive made ones like that before as well. Looks great, swims great, and it will catch fish for you, for sure.   I kinda came away from them just because I didnt find them to be any more productive than plastic trailers, and sometimes lacked versatility found in the plastics.

But, I will probably come back to using those again.   You should try it with an Indiana blade.

No problem there, full blown tinkering now.

I  used to just hang the blade + barrel swivel, onto the bend of the hook, and crimp it down.  No need for trimming skirts then.

It works. No doubt about it. Still like my rage trailer though.

I had terrible luck with jigs. I switched over to swim jigs and caught 3 nice ones right away. Haven't caught a single fish on them since.

Back to Senko's and Ika's.
