North East, Maryland

Fished the same area of the Chesapeake where the Bassmasters Elite was held on the weekend of August 14th and we did great!

I was hosted by Pete Gluszek and we fished where the pros fished and we caught 17 beauties plus two dinks.

You can look him up on Facebook.

It was a wonderful adventure with Pete telling me about the various pros and how they fished the tournament and what they did right and wrong.

Also learned a few secrets and tips from Pete which I sincerely appreciate.

Pete is a class act and if you can go fishing with him please do. He is a wonderful person and he knows just about everybody in the Elite series. He will entertain you with his stories and he will give you suggestions on improving your techniques and bait selections.

And North East, Maryland is a nice town that offers your better half places to shop and enjoy the local cuisine.

That's awesome Sam. I wished that he had fished that tourney, he's so knowledgeable about that area.

North East is a great fishery, it can be tough to figure out with the tides but holds a lot of fish.   If the LM bite is beating you up, switch it up a bit and go after stripers.

Good to hear Sam. I'm going up Fri-Sun with the tournament on Sunday. Looking forward to it as I've never fished the upper bay. Anything you care to share?

Good to hear Sam. My club primarily fishes there and I must say that I SUCK there. I just cannot figure them out for the life of me. I had spoke to Pete about a guided trip as well. There are monsters in there. Biggest one in my club this year is over 7lbs. We have an open tournament on 9/12 if you want to try it out.
