Thinking Outside The Box Ned Rig

Featured Replies

I don't know if you guys tried this before instead of a mushroom head jig head.  Used a small wide gap hook and put a BPS clip on weight, 1/16 oz.

I used the TRD "The Deal" color, which looks like a shad as a jerk bait.  I casted parallel to shore and jerked it back....felt a fish hit it and I set the hook...

To my surprise, a great fight and landed a 6lb bass, using the Z-Man TRD as a jerkbait!

I was using my older Daiwa Fuego 2000 reel on a Fuego spinning rod with 6lb P-Line.  So glad I had the drag set perfectly.  And the bass was hooked on the corner of the mouth, that no way was it getting unhooked!

2nd big bass of the year and thanks to the Z-Man TRD worm as a jerk bait.

The TRD worm on a mushroom head or an Owner stand up jighead has caught bass, and one of them was a long cast out and a long fight back.  Too much fun!
