Lake Varner Info:

Hello to all of the incredibly intelligent and knowlegeable fisherpersons of Bass Resource! I have recently moved to GA and the closest and best fishing choice for me has become Lake Varner Reservoir.

I am trying to compile as much information about this lake as possible because I will be fishing here routinely, once per week. If you guys have any favorite spots or baits for Varner I would love to hear about it.

So far I have caught schooling bass on an 1/8 ounce jig head with a 3" white curly tail zoom grub, the location was in the North part of the reservoir near the upper end. I could be totatlly off here but it appeared to me that there is very little grass/hydrilla and the water level is extremely low.

I really look forward to hearing from you guys!
