Bass Hair Jigs

Featured Replies

I have started to tie my own hair jigs. I was wondering if anyone had any designs that have been proven to catch bass. What kind of head is the best to tie on? Where is the best place to buy materials? If anyone has any pictures of what they tie please post them to here, it helps to see picture of what others have tied.

No such thing... every jig is situational.  Provide more information about what you want this jig to accomplish and better targeted responses will follow.  Perhaps you could show/explain what you are tying now and what you are trying to improve.

Simple is fine. The jig in your second photo will certainly work. Of course you understand the importance of locating smallies (duh . . . ) and figuring out the presentation to them.

Here are a couple of pics from my early 2015 season:

The tying you're doing now is more than adequate. Now concentrate on location and presentation.
