Question For Lew's Rod Experts

Featured Replies

Just in to our Gander and they had a white Lew's Speed Stick Tournament SK, IM8, Stainless guides and inserts, 6'10", MH fast tip marked down to $50 because it was a combo rod and the reel had been damaged and removed. I do not know squat about Lew's rods, but bought it based on the specs.

Is it the white one?  I've handled that combo in the store.  I don't think you can go wrong for $50, but I wouldn't probably pay more than that.

Duh, you said "white"...my mistake

It is interesting that the rod has identical specs as the white BPS Carbonlites I have, i.e., stainless guides and inserts and IM 8 and the BPS 6'6" MH fast baitcasters are $100 and 7' are $110 regular price (I always buy on sale though).  The BPS regular guides 7' rods weigh 4.0  to 4.3oz and this 6'10" rod weighs 4.2oz.  The rod bend under load is also identical to the BPS 7' MH Carbonlite.

Who knows, they may have come from the same facility in China.
